Happy 4 Month Birthday Owen!

I know it sounds like a broken record but I know I am way behind, also, Owen has grown and developed so much from his 3-month to 4-month birthday.

Happy 4-month Birthday Owen!

At his 4-month pediatrician appointment Owen weighed 18 lbs 5 oz and was 26 inches long.

Owen can now squeal with delight and loves to explore people's faces with his hands. He also reaches for objects to explore them and figure out how they work.

Owen buried under a weeks worth of laundry ready to fold.

During this month, Owen no longer nursed at 9 pm; he goes to bed at about 8 pm and sleeps until (we hope) 6 am.

Although he is an old pro at it now, and often insist on it (in a baby sort of way) now, Owen had his first Exersaucer experience shortly after his 3 month birthday. He wasn't so sure what to think at first but soon grew to love it. Also, from that location he gets a chance to be up close and personal at the puppy level. When he is in the Exersaucer he is showered with dog kisses which he loves!

SeaWorld and Discovery Cove

In the beginning of March we took a long weekend trip to Orlando where we met up with our babysitters for one of the days... Grandpa Grumpy and Grandmama.

You'd think he'd be happy to see his grandparents...

That's better!

The first day of our trip was spent enjoying SeaWorld. Owen had a good time but didn't get much rest because it was in and out of the stroller all day long. He actually watched most of the shows with wide eyes.

Jed gave me a trip to Discovery Cove for my birthday, which is how we spent our second day. The dolphin swim experience was so much fun and was one of the best gifts I have received. Our dolphin, Cindy, let us feel her several times, let us give her a kiss, took a family photo and gave us a ride. We learned more about bottlenose dolphins than you could imagine.

While Jed and Anna were away at Discovery Cove, Owen got to spend the day with his Grandpa Grumpy and Grandmama.

Enjoying the day with Grandpa Grumpy and Grandmama. PS- They let me try a french fry... I didn't like it.

Since Grandpa Grumpy and Grandmama didn't fly out until 5 pm on Sunday we had some time to go enjoy the pool at the resort. This was Owen's first time swimming. He enjoyed it until he got a face full and mouth full of pool water.

All sunscreened up and ready to go in.

The air was chilly but the water was warm.

Ready for Vacation

In preparation for our trip to Orlando in March, I bought Owen a new pair of sunglasses and a hat to protect his baby eyes and skin. Here is a quick picture of him trying out his new gear.
