A Visit from the Millers

Between Christmas and New Years Grampy, Lovey and Auntie Sarah came to Florida to visit and meet Owen (well, see him again for one of them). Even though Owen was a month and a half old he had many new first while they were here. *Warning: The following is not for the faint of heart* While the girls were out shopping, Jed and Grampy were home to witness Owen's biggest poop to date, out three sides of the diaper, through two layers of clothes and all over the Soother cover. Because of this, Owen experienced his first shower, or rather, hose down under the kitchen facet.

While they were here, we took a trip to the coast and Apalachicola for oysters and took a walk around McClay Gardens. Owen also took his first boat ride at Wakulla Springs where we saw ducks, birds, alligators and manatees. Jed and Anna had their first night out without Owen... while the grown-ups went to see Avatar in IMAX 3-D, Owen went to spend a few hours at Day Care. The adults loved the movie and Owen did great away.

Also during their time here, Owen was able to guide his fist to his mouth to suck on. (He had sucked on his fist once or twice before while laying on his stomach but only because his head happened to be resting on his hand.)

Owen had is first story read to him by Grampy while they were here. Grampy read "Owen" a book about Owen the mouse and his blanket.

A few days before they all arrived Owen really started "talking" so many hours were spent just listening to Owen coo. We had a great time with them here and can't wait for them to come back.
